From the very beginning of Smart Visie, we positioned ourselves as a modern firm with a strong focus on automation. We quickly secured our own domain name, which not only gave us a professional appearance but also allowed us to showcase our services online.
FrontPage
Our very first website was built using a basic HTML editor. It consisted of a handful of pages containing information about our services and a contact form that allowed potential clients to get in touch with us easily.
As the website evolved, maintaining it became increasingly time-consuming. We therefore migrated to FrontPage, which at the time was a significant step forward. It made website management much easier and introduced useful features such as link validation and maintenance alerts whenever links were broken or required updating.
Content Management System (CMS)
Eventually, even this solution no longer met our needs. We wanted greater flexibility and easier content management, so we began looking for a more advanced platform. This led us to De Werkende Website, which uses the Procurios CMS.
This proved to be an excellent solution, allowing us to manage multiple websites through a single platform. The system provided a professional appearance while keeping pace with evolving web standards, search engine requirements, and the growing variety of devices used to access websites. Through the CMS, we could easily manage pages and publish news articles.
Alongside the website, we also introduced a client portal. This secure area allowed us to share documents such as letters, correspondence, and reports with our clients. We also used it to publish client-only news updates. The portal provided a reliable way for clients to exchange documents with us and represented an important step forward in digital collaboration.
The Next Step
Over the years, new requirements emerged, and software providers began offering increasingly advanced client portal solutions. These modern platforms offer functionality beyond what we were previously able to provide and make collaboration even easier.
This presented the perfect opportunity to evaluate our digital environment and determine the best way forward.
During this process, we selected PixelDeluxe as our new website partner. The website is now powered by the Craft CMS platform.
The collaboration remains largely the same: PixelDeluxe ensures that our website maintains a professional appearance and remains technically up to date. This helps keep the website visible in search engines and ensures that it performs correctly across all devices. Through Craft CMS, we can continue to manage pages and publish news articles with ease.
In addition, several new features have been introduced. The website is now fully bilingual, available in both Dutch and English via the language selector in the top-right corner. Furthermore, a number of integrations have been implemented, helping us streamline processes and save valuable time.
